France After Dark

by Marjorie on February 1, 2008

For those of you needing a dose of serenity tonight, check out this lovely photograph of the Pic du Midi Observatory in the French Pyrenees. Looks like something out of a Star Trek film, eh? Very serene and beautiful.

Wow, that’s a great shot, even managed to sneak Orion in the corner. C’est chouette !

Bonjour, Randal et LBR! Oui, isn’t it gorgeous? Check out that Web site sometime again — I frequently get my desktop wallpaper from it. They have some of the most awesome shots of space and the earth I’ve ever seen.

Yah, I thought so too. Not quite Tatooine, but definitely very sci-fi-film-like.

Salut,
Marjorie

A gorgeous picture — I like what you posted better than what I saw when I looked at the website itself. Did you touch it up?

Bonjour, Betty! Funny you should say that, because I didn’t touch the photo. Just copied and pasted it onto my blog. Maybe my blog’s wallpaper just enhances the color more.

Salut,
Marjorie
