ABOUT ME

I’m a seasoned writer, editor, photographer, and social media consultant with a passion for French culture, art and literature. My Inner French Girl started out in late 2006 as a journal to chronicle my ongoing interest in living a more French-inspired life, but has since evolved into an online magazine of sorts featuring film and book reviews, commentaries and other fun and useful information for the Francophile community.

I’m not French, nor have I ever lived in France, but for a lot of Francophiles, My Inner French Girl is more than just about geography. Rather, it’s about a way of life, a way of thinking and living that embraces mindfulness, beauty and intellectual pursuits.It’s about femininity and grace, discipline and desire, self-care and generosity of spirit.

And of course, sometimes, it’s also about fashion and makeup and, well, just being a Girl.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

A big Merci and hug to Lindsay Randall Boone, an Arlington, TX-based artist and teacher. The image she created for My Inner French Girl brilliantly evokes the mood and spirit of the site, and I’m grateful to her for capturing it all in an original watercolor print, which she then scanned and transferred into a high-resolution JPG. The finished handiwork is what you see at the top of every page on this site.

Lindsay lives, works and creates in Arlington, TX, where she lives with her husband. You can find more of her artwork online on her Etsy site, RealRedHead.

It’s really simple: I never, ever, ever, ever sell, barter, trade, or otherwise distribute personal information submitted to My Inner French Girl. Occasionally MIFG runs giveaways that require winners to submit their shipping addresses to me and/or contest sponsor, but again, that information is strictly for purposes of those particular contests.

I do use Google Analytics to track aggregate user data (e.g., locations, keyword search terms, etc.), but this information is used strictly for statistical purposes. Your own personal information is never included in any of these tracking services.

MY INNER FRENCH GIRL’S ENDORSEMENT POLICY

Longtime readers of My Inner French Girl will know that my reviews reflect my honest, unbiased opinion. Periodically I do receive samples of books, DVD’s and products from publicists, as well as invitations to events hosted by third parties. When I review any of these items for MIFG, I will always mention where I obtained them (i.e., personally bought, given, etc.).
